About 4 years ago I moved to Thomas Circle with my partner that I had been with for 36 years. His health was declining, and he needed special care and attention—this was the best place for him. It was important to us that he not only receive professional care but kindness, compassion, and support. The people here really do care about the residents. When I first got here, and still to this very day, I think to myself, is everyone really this happy?
The location is important, and it's the first attraction. But after you are here, it's really the residents that are the important factor. The involvement in activities is what makes this place unique.
More importantly, the management creates an atmosphere of a family environment. This couldn't happen without managements' desire to make it our home, not just a place to live—not to mention the food is exceptional! They are sensitive to address our appetite with various foods and menus, and they manage to satisfy everything.
For many years with assignments abroad, we moved to and from our home on nearby 16th Street NW. After years in retirement we moved once again, this time the The Residences at Thomas Circle in the neighborhood we know so well. We now live closer to the White House, National Geographic museum, and other national treasures, many reached by walking, one of our favorite pastimes. We continue to enjoy in-town living at its best, right in the heart of Washington.
We look forward to building on our shared vision of making their lives as happy and enjoyable as possible.
